Hi and welcome to GetCarSpecs, my name is Todd Brandau and I am the owner/operator of this blog. I decided to create this blog to share the love of cars that I have. You see, I grew up around cars and mechanical work. My dad and uncle restored old cars on their weekends so I had the opportunity to see some of the finest makes and models up close.
This early exposure led to my interest and passion in motorized vehicles. I have rebuilt some cars in my spare time and always travel to the local car shows. There is an annual one nearby that always reminds me of Dad and Uncle Bob and long weekends in the garage. Even though I haven’t convinced them to join the rest of the world online, they are both pleased to know that their early influence has a positive impact on me still.
My wife is also very supportive, and not just of my blog but everything I do. I fell in love with her the day we met and I am so glad she is a part of my life. Really, she is my life. All I need is her and a great car for us to cruise down the road in!
So, she knows how much I love cars and everything about them. That is where the idea for this blog came from. Actually, she kind of made a joke that I could share my knowledge with others who are equally passionate. I think that was her way of saying that she would rather talk about redecorating the living room, building a swimming pool or anything else not related to cars!
